Railways to Create 2300 Job Opportunities Next Year

TEHRAN The Islamic Republic of Iran Railways can create 2300 job opportunities in the next year by purchasing 150 passenger cars.

The managing director of the Raja Passenger Train Company, Mohsen Poursaeed Aqaei, said that with every passenger car connected to the country's railway transportation fleet, 15 job opportunities will be created in different sectors.

He said that development of this industry the will increase the country's gross domestic product and help solve the unemployment problem.

He added that the plan of purchasing 150 passenger cars has been presented to the Management and Planning Organization (MPO). By allocating $60 million for the purchase of 150 passenger cars, 2300 job opportunities can be created in the railway transportation fleet.

Poursaeed Aqaei said that the passenger cars most probably would be bought from China or Russia.
